Nov 23 2024: Arthur got his first major!. We also have one of his younger sisters till looking for her forever home.
August 20: Arthur shows his stuff again. At the Enumclaw cluster (Sammish, Rainer Working Group, Olympic KC) he was awarded 1 RWD, 4 WD, 4 BOW, and 3 NOHS BOB. And we have now placed 7 of the Magic x Misty puppies.
July 29:
Check the puppy page for updates on the Misty litter. Arthur, the big brother to the current litter, and a great weekend at the Hurricane Ridge dog show. Day 1: WD, BOW, BOS, NOHS BOB, NOHS GR 3. Day 2: WD, BOW, Best Bred By, Bred By Gr 3. Day 3: WD, BOW, BOS, NOHS BOB, NOHS Gr 4.
July 11: At the PVDF show Arthur added to his wins with a WD, BOW, and NOHS BOB. A great example of the quality of puppies that the Magic x Misty breeding has provided. This same week 7 of the 9 Magix x Misty puppies in the current litter got their ear crops. The other two will get their crops July 16. After that we will start matching puppies to those who have asked to be put on the list for this litter.
May 21; Arthur had a great weekend at the NW cluster. Four all breed shows and two specialties. In the first specialty he earned BOB in the sweeps and Best Puppy in specialty. At the second specialty he won BOS in sweeps and Best Puppy in specialty. He hit his stride with a WD at one of all breed shows.
May 14: Once again a bit behind in updates, but Arthur won his first ribbon in winners - RWD on May 5 2024
April 22, 2024: We have been lazy about updates. Arthur has stopped up and won a best beginner puppy and a BP Gr 3 in January. He followed that with a Best Puppy in Specialty out of the puppy bred by class at just 6 months old.
March 22,2024: Our next litter is planned to be s repeat of the breeding that produced Arthur, but with a new protocol that should help get more puppies to term with frozen semen. Check out the puppy page for more info as the breeding progresses.
December 27, 2023: Two more liters are planned and Misty did whelp a puppy - Arthur. He will start selected showing in March 2024.
September 19, 2023. Our wonderful retired Broadway has passed away after an unsuccessful attempt to control a liver infection. The planned breeding between him and Rhona will continue using stored semen. It was a great loss to our family. He was not only an exceptional show dog, but more important he was an outstanding companion dog and nanny to Jessica’s daughter (Amelia) from her day of birth to now - 17 months of joy between dog and child. Our Brindle GCHB Timon has been retired from conformation and is getting back into Rally. He just started this shift in emphasis in April 2023 and still managed to end up as Number 18 in the Great Dane Club of America rally stats for 2023. That means he is in the invitational list for the 2023 national specality. Sadly, due to expected puppies, we are not planning on attending the national this year.
